Overview

This policy establishes the financial responsibility for the administration of sponsored programs.

Applicability

This policy applies to all sponsored programs administered through the Office of Grants and Contracts Accounting.

Policy Details

1. The Principal Investigator is responsible for the management and administration of the sponsored program within the administrative constraints imposed by the sponsor and in accordance with University policy. Any questions regarding the proper administration of any sponsored program should be directed to the Office of Grants and Contracts Accounting (OGCA) or other appropriate central research administration office.

2. Changes to project budgets which require institutional or sponsor prior approval must be reviewed and approved by the Office of Sponsored Programs.
